OERK_DEL [GMP] Briefing Material | Cross the Land: Westbound 2026

Covering

This section details all the necessary briefing materials for OERK_DEL [GMP] during Cross the Land: Westbound 2026

Designated Area of Responsibility

"King Khalid Clearance" (OERK_DEL) will be responsible of issuing IFR clearances for all departure traffic from Riyadh and the transfer of traffic requesting push to the correct ground controller.

General Notes

  • Expect the IFR flight plans to be validated and corrected by "King Khalid Planner" (OERK_P_DEL) preemptively.
  • IFR clearances in Riyadh include the departure runway, the SID, the initial climb, and the squawk using the prescribed phraseology in the SOP.
  • The initial climb for all SIDs is 8000ft.
  • Departure traffic shall only be cleared on RWY 33R/15L regardless of their stand or requests as SARO will be in use during the whole event to maximize the departure runway capacity.
  • Departure traffic shall be handed off to "King Khalid Ground" (OERK_N_GND) if at Apron 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or to "King Khalid Ground" (OERK_S_GND) controller if at Apron 6, 7, 8, 9.

Flow Management

  • IFR Clearance must include a startup time after recieving a correct readback from the pilot.
  • When TSAT turns Green and (+5 / -5) window is met, the traffic should be transferred to the correct ground controller for pushaback.
