During the event, only SMC N and SMC S are going to be online, spliting the DOAR on 33R/15L.

Designated Area of Responsibility

"King Khalid Ground" (OERK_N_GND) is in charge of all GMC operations west of RWY 33R/15L. Ground North includes the Passenger terminals, Cargo apron, and GA aprons (Aprons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, C and G).

Loading

Genetal Notes

  • Traffic *departig on 33R shall exit the aprons via R and S. Expect arrivals to enter through Taxiway P.
  • If 15 config is in use, traffic shall exit the aprons via P, R, and S. Expect arrivals to enter through Taxiway T.
  • Controllers must ensure that taxiways P, R, and S are not blocked and clear when issuing pushback clearances.
  • It is important that SMC N and S are in constant coordination to monitor traffic flow and ensure the movements are conflict-free.

33's configuration

  • Departures from Apron 1 and 2 will be cleared by SMC N to taxi until holding short of S via R and shall be transferred to "King Khalid Ground South" approaching S if clear of conflict. Excercise caution for the traffic coming from S.

  • Departures from Apron 3 and 4 will be cleared by SMC N to taxi until holding short of G via S and shall be transferred to "King Khalid Ground South" entering G if clear of conflict. Excercise caution for the traffic coming from G via R.

  • Departures from Apron 5 will be cleared by SMC N to taxi until holding short of G via S. In case taxiway S is overloaded, SMC N shall coordinate with SMC S to allow traffic to exit Apron 5 via taxiway T before being transferred to "King Khalid Ground South" entering T.

15's configuration

  • Departures from Apron 1 and 2 will be cleared by SMC N to taxi until holding short of G via P and shall be transferred to "King Khalid Tower East" approaching G if clear of conflict. Excercise caution for the traffic coming through G.

  • Departures from Apron 3 and 4 will be cleared by SMC N to taxi until holding short of P via R and G and shall be transferred to "King Khalid Tower East" approaching P if clear of conflict. Excercise caution for the traffic coming through G.

  • Departures from Apron 5 will be cleared by SMC N to taxi until holding short of P via S and G and shall be transferred to "King Khalid Tower East" approaching P if clear of conflict. Excercise caution for the traffic coming through S and R.
